To make FYRO Charcoal, we procure tree trimmings and coconut shells from plantations. This supports rural farming communities and ensures that no forests are damaged.

CARBON NEUTRAL CHARCOAL
We started planting trees in 2016 with the goal of planting 1 tree for every bag/box of charcoal sold. To date, we have planted >65,000 trees and are planting more each year.
We plant tropical fruit trees, acacia and even gum trees that originate from Petford, QLD, Australia.
Sustainable Sources
Choosing sustainable and renewable raw materials from plantations is not only a win for the environment, but also ensures FYRO remains sustainable for generations to come.
This matters greatly in the charcoal industry where deforestation and the use of protected species mangrove is rampant.

During their growth, trees absorb beneficial compounds from the earth. We collect their trimmings and coconut shells which are typically disposed as plantation waste.
UPCYCLING
From these plantation waste, we obtain FYRO charcoal as well as Biochar and Pyroligneous Acid, both of which brings big benefits to soil and agriculture.
Back to improve the earth
When used and returned to the earth, the ash from charcoal, as well as Biochar and Pyroligneous Acid can improve soil health,
crop and tree growth.
